Art Nouveau Rugs

Art Nouveau Rugs
Art Nouveau Rugs were part of the modernist design movement taking place 1890 thru 1915 and widely known for botanical motifs. While the modernist movement was short lived, it was responsible for transitioning from the elaborate Victorian Era furnishings. We have a small selection of one-of-a-kind reproduction pieces representative of the Art Nouveau / modernist style.

Pak Persian Rugs

Pak Persian Rugs
Persian design carpets made in Pakistan featuring coloration attuned to American fashion.

Pakistani weavers generally concentrate on reproducing the more intricate Persian patterns – Kashan, Tabriz, Nain, and Isfahan – which require a greater number of knots. These designs are colored to suit all tastes including the traditional Persian reds and navies, in addition to pastels and the very latest hues.

Oushak Rugs

Oushak Rugs
Original Oushak rugs are named after their village of origin in Turkey. While Oushaks have a strong Persian design influence they are typically woven with the Turkish “Ghiordes”style knot. In recent years our company has developed production of Oushak designs in India where it is possible to specify design and color combinations most suitable to the American market.

Armenian Rugs

Armenian Rugs
From ancient times to the present, carpets have been produced in Armenia. Current production is limited compared to countries such as Iran and India. Designs range from traditional to modern. Dilmaghani maintained a private production of Armenian rugs until recently. We still have a selection of unique carpets in traditional and transitional designs.

Nichols Rugs

Nichols Rugs
In 1924 W. A. B. Nichols of Tientsin, North China, introduced the Super Chinese Rug. The quality and type of designs produced by Nichols have become world famous. Nichols used a machine-spun yarn with the designation “super”. Nichols rugs are known for their tight packing and closed back weave which accounts for their durability.
