Teawash is an
innovative and exclusive finishing process developed by Karastan which transforms
our lustrous wool colors into a vintage patina. Naturally, that patina is saturated
into our dozens of shades of reds, greens, golds and indigos that we use to
subtly create the "abrash" effect of old vegetable dyes. In our Samovar
Collection, the rugs undergo the Teawash before the final lustre wash…the results
positively luminous. Twentieth century heirlooms with the vintage look of treasured
