14′ x 25′ Large Persian Sarouk Carpet
Large oversized Persian Sarouk carpet made in Iran circa 1940′s. Although an authentic hand knotted Persian rug, overall motif is an ‘American Sarouk.’ Slightly less common center medallion atop a scattered, covered field of floral sprays. Beautiful floral spandrels partially covering the field. Deep red throughout with rich, luxurious pile with a perfect sheen to the wool.
